- Sneak Peek of Our Animals -
Bearded Dragon: Pogona barbata
From the arid woodlands and deserts of central Australia, the Bearded Dragon gets its name from their ability to flare out the skin on their neck when threatened or feeling territorial. These diurnal omnivores, forage for anything from insects and small mammals to fruits and flowers.
Tarantula: Theraphosidae
From the southern United States to Australia & South America, these creatures can be found in most of the southern hemisphere. As one of the world’s largest arachnids, they can range in size from 4.5 to 11 inches depending on the species. Unlike many spiders, Tarantulas don’t primarily use their webs to catch prey, they ambush & use their venom to hunt everything from small insects to frogs and mice!
Ball Python: Python regius
Native to Western & Central Africa, Ball Pythons get their name from their natural defensive behaviors. When threatened, Ball Pythons curl up into a ball with their head toward the center. Also called the “Royal Python,” ancient royalty wore them as living jewelry; showing off their beautiful patterns. In fact, no two python patterns are identical.
